MEET THE DESIGNER
Carla Michelle
Bringing together fashion and fetish, I create latex clothing with minimalistic and provocative undertones. My goal is to make the wearer feel empowered, sophisticated yet sexy and unique.
After graduating from the Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Media, I dabbled in a few different mediums but found myself drawn to designing latex clothing that moves beyond traditional fetish latex and borders on couture fashion.
I started wearing latex in 2009 and struggled to find pieces that were both flattering and supportive, especially being a 12DD. There were also next to no latex brands in Australia so I always had doubt in the back of my mind when buying from overseas. With a background in design and some spare time, what started as a hobby quickly became a passion and a craft that I continue to perfect.
I’m obsessed with creating pieces that make me feel incredible and my hope is that they’ll make you feel the same way! I love creating pieces that are versatile, so every top can be worn with every bottom. Pieces that you can wear casually to your local market at 10am on a Saturday but that would also be seen in a club at 3am on a Sunday. Those day-to-night looks in Dolly and Girlfriend magazines clearly had an impact!

Debauch is me, start to finish. I design, make, photograph (with the occasional collaboration), run the website, answer every email and pack every order myself. If you’ve ever messaged Debauch, you’ve spoken to me and if you’ve ever received a parcel, I’m the one who wrapped it and sent it out the door.
Outside of latex, I’m a cyclist (yes, lycra and cleats cyclist), occasional runner and snow skiing enthusiast. I enjoy reading books about psychology, I love second-hand fashion and I'm enjoying learning more about politics. And yes, I love fine dining but I also love a beer and hot chips - those closest to me already know that!
MY FAVOURITE PIECES
AVYANNA LATEX TOP + ENZI LATEX KNICKERS
The Fearless Latex Top is close to my heart - it was the first piece that I made where I genuinely thought, this is really good latex. I wore it to the 2019 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and named it after that year’s theme - Fearless. Around then, Debauch Latex really began to take off. It’s a piece that’s here to stay, one that makes me feel powerful, confident, and feminine.
I made the Full Face Latex Hood with Pigtails so I could offer it as a product on my website but the moment I put it on, it became my absolute favourite. Anonymous. Playful. Bold. I can be whoever I want to be and it’s so liberating!
The Masen Unity Latex Top just screams cool. Subversive. Industrial. Sleek and I love it.
This is the femme latex outfit of my dreams. The Avyanna Latex Top is sculptural yet soft and the Enzi Latex Knickers are structured yet sensual. The V shaped appliqué draws the eye the from the hips to the waist creating a silhouette I can’t get enough of.

THE STUDIO
Tucked away in the leafy streets of Malvern East, Victoria, Australia, my studio is light-filled and airy, yet alive with creative chaos. It’s where every part of Debauch comes to life - from sketching designs and cutting latex, to photographing pieces and packing orders.
